Author Guidelines

General

Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English. They must be unpublished and not under consideration elsewhere, and must be submitted through the journal's online system rather than by email.

Length runs from 3,000 to 7,000 words, counted from the introduction through the reference list.

Format

Set the manuscript in Times New Roman 11 pt with 1.15 line spacing, on A4 paper with 2.5 cm margins on all four sides. The body is laid out in a single column.

Prepare the manuscript using the journal template. Download the JSTPP article template (DOCX).

Structure

The title runs to no more than fifteen words, reflects the content, and avoids unfamiliar abbreviations. Below it give the full name of each author without academic titles, the affiliation, and the email address of the corresponding author.

Abstracts are required in both Indonesian and English, each of 150 to 250 words in a single paragraph without citations, stating the purpose, the method, the principal findings, and the conclusion. Three to five keywords, separated by commas, follow each abstract.

Research articles comprise Introduction, Research Method, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion, followed by Acknowledgements where applicable and the reference list. Section headings are set in capitals and are not numbered. Review articles may adopt another structure provided the argument runs in order.

Tables and Figures

Number tables consecutively with the caption above; number figures consecutively with the caption below. Refer to both in the text. Supply figures at a quality that remains legible in print.

References

Citations and the reference list follow the American Psychological Association style, seventh edition. Provide at least fifteen references, of which at least 80 percent are journal articles, preferably published within the last five years. Reference managers such as Mendeley or Zotero are strongly encouraged.

Similarity Check

All manuscripts are checked with Turnitin before review. The accepted similarity threshold is at most 20 percent.

Charges

There is no submission charge and no article processing charge.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting, authors confirm the following.

  • The manuscript has not been published and is not under consideration elsewhere.
  • The manuscript follows the JSTPP template: Microsoft Word, A4, 2.5 cm margins, single column, Times New Roman 11 pt, 1.15 spacing.
  • Title, abstract (150 to 250 words), and keywords are provided in Indonesian and English.
  • References follow APA 7th edition, at least fifteen, mostly journal articles from the last ten years, with DOIs or URLs where available.
  • Tables and figures are numbered, titled, and sourced.
  • The manuscript has been screened for similarity and is below the 20 percent threshold.
  • Author names, affiliations, and emails are removed from the manuscript file for double-anonymous review.

Articles

This section carries research articles and literature reviews that have not been published elsewhere. Manuscripts are reviewed double-blind by at least two reviewers before publication.

Privacy Statement

The names, email addresses, affiliations, and other data entered on this journal site are used exclusively for the stated purposes of Jurnal Sains Terapan dan Profesi Pendidikan. They are not sold, traded, or made available to any other party for any purpose beyond publication.

What we collect. From authors, reviewers, and editors: name, email address, affiliation, country, and optionally ORCID, a short biography, and areas of expertise. From ordinary visitors: non-identifying records of page views and file downloads, used to compile article readership statistics.

How the data is used. Email addresses are used for editorial correspondence: status notifications, review invitations, revision requests, and publication announcements. Author names and affiliations appear on published articles and are transmitted to indexing services, since they form part of the identity of a scholarly work. Editor and reviewer names and affiliations appear on the editorial board pages. Reviewer identities are never disclosed to authors, in keeping with the journal double-anonymous review policy.

What we do not collect. The journal charges no fees of any kind and therefore never requests card, bank, or payment details. We carry no advertising and embed no third-party advertising trackers.

Cookies. The site uses session cookies required to keep users signed in while they work. These expire when the session ends.

Retention. Account data and editorial history are retained for as long as the journal operates, as they form part of the publication record and must remain traceable. Published articles and their author names are permanent and cannot be withdrawn, as is standard in scholarly publishing.

Your rights. Every user may view and amend their own data through the Profile menu after signing in. Requests to correct data, deactivate an account, or ask how data is used may be sent to admin.jstpp@jentera.or.id and will be answered within a reasonable time.
